BYU to begin hiring again

Brigham Young University is lifting a hiring freeze that had been in place for two years. The school told the Deseret News that it plans to start a gradual hiring process for every campus department.

Academic vice president John S. Tanner notified the faculty Friday that it will take several years to fill position left vacant by attrition. Tanner says he told deans and chairs to not rush trying to fill every position. BYU is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Provo Daily Herald
