Lindon leaders OKs $3M bond to repair 35-year-old sewer line

Elected officials approved $3 million in bonding at Tuesday's council meeting for Lindon City's sewer project. Upgrading of the lines is part of a mutual agreement between Lindon, Orem and Vineyard cities. All three communities will benefit from the upgrade. The 20-year bond, obtained at the favorable rate of 2.5 percent interest, will cover the cost of renovating Lindon's 35-year-old sewer line. Leaders say that $1.5 million of that will be needed to install a new pump station to push waste water toward the regional sewage treatment facility in northern Utah County. Provo Daily Herald
