According to Kent Wilkerson of the Summit County Engineering Department, the county is working closely with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) to create a master transportation plan with long term solutions to solve the growing traffic problems in the area.
UDOT spokesperson Mindy Nelson said so far, UDOT has only done the conceptual work for S.R. 224 but does have improvement plans in mind based on population growth projections. Wilkerson said he expects additional lanes to be added to S.R. 224 by 2015. Park Record
